It's really difficult sometimes when people around you aren't open enough. Basically, you have no idea what they're thinking. Held back by reservations, they make life rather upsetting because you need to put in every effort to read their minds, to understand what they stand for and what they want.
The same applies for groups, especially when you are new to a group, but they don't explain the different relationships and happenings that exist. That just isolates you.
Having said that, I'm guilty of that as well.
