I found this article on CNA amusing.
It is admirable for mankind to make a closer step to finding a true vaccine against the HIV. Finally, there seems to be hope to reduce the number of innocent children and people who contact the virus through birth and other means.
Indeed, such a prevention method will definitely allow mankind to enter a new phase in the epidermological transition model (a disease-related model similar to the DTM).
Yet, the reason I found this wholly amusing and ironic is because when such vaccines are circulated around the world in the future, people will become immune to AIDS. The first thing that came to my mind was: so people won't have qualms about having premarital sex and/or having multiple sex partners anymore.
It makes sense, doesn't it?
An AIDS vaccine will undoubtedly reduce mortality rates around the world; at the same time, it promotes immorality since people are immune to the virus.
Irony.

A better solution anyone? [comment below]
